I am welcoming April with all things spring: spring cleaning (we just got a few things to touch up our apartment, since we resigned our lease, for the fourth year!!), healthy habits (including a pilates membership, who am I) and all things outdoorsy and sun-filled.
Looking back, March was packed with fun: I started the month on a (first ever) girls’ trip to Fort Lauderdale and spent days experiencing live shows, St. Patricks’ Day parties, dinners at some of our favorites places in Boston and some of the best margaritas I’ve ever had. But April, I think, will be for slowing down just a little, to enjoy the comfort of routine, to breathe. We don’t have any travel plans this month, and have committed to getting active more, so I’m looking forward taking the time to enjoy the little things: sunny spring weather, home-cooked meals, early nights and celebrating friends.
Music | Billy Eilish’s debut album. Obviously. I’ve been a huge fan since her EP (Bellyache is still one of my favorites) and pretty much think she’s a creative genius. Her songs are so moody, yet catchy, thought-provoking yet relaxing… it’s hard to describe. I wish I could be as cool as her, especially at 17. // Honorable mention to Sucker, the comeback song of 2019 by the Jonas Brothers, because it is genuinely a great song and the music video is truly a mood. I’m obsessed.
Food | The Goodfellas Dinner at Coppa. Mike and I try to make it once a year— you really can’t get better than the 4 course classic Italian menu filled with all the best dishes, from chicken parm to shrimp scampi. The ambience only makes the food taste even better.
Book | The Silent Patient. My new favorite book. Just read it. I won’t say any more…
Link | This month, quite like other months, I loved every video Dearly Bethany created. Particularly this large favorites video caught my attention. From an outsider looking in, Bethany lives such a beautifully refined life, and her style is great, so I always love listening to what products and brands she’s into, because I trust her taste!
Fashion | It’s hard to pick just one fashion pick this month: I mentioned how much I love my ARQ wide strap tops, and I’ve worn them almost every night since I got them. This Elizabeth Suzann silk skirt is the perfect spring and summer wardrobe staple. The fabric is breathable and easy, but the style and cut is pretty put-together, IE it reads less beachwear and a little more upscale, which is perfect for my day-today. I also splurged on this denim jumpsuit from Reformation. I haven’t been able to wear it yet in this cold weather, but it fits like a glove and is so perfect for an easy, yet super unique, outfit.
